Overlooking the historic Amstel River, The Dining Room at the Amstel brings together the culinary vision of Chef de Cuisine Wouter Wingelaar and the timeless hospitality of the Amstel Hotel. Guided by the seasons and a commitment to exceptional ingredients, the menu is defined by refined craftsmanship, technical precision and elegant, ingredient-led cuisine. Paired with one of Amsterdam’s most extensive wine collections, it offers a dining experience that is distinctly Amstel.

Amstel Lounge

The Amstel Lounge, nestled beneath an enchanting dome with river views, exudes elegance that intertwines heritage and modernity. Renowned for its seasonal afternoon tea, featuring ideal tea pairings, the lounge features traditional porcelain, adding a touch of our rich heritage to the magical ambiance. Bathed in natural sunlight, the lounge stands as the captivating heart of the hotel.

Join us for coffee, wine, and bites from Monday to Thursday. Our Afternoon Tea is served on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For groups larger than 10 people, please contact amstel.events@ihg.com for actual pricing and more information.

THE BOLS SPRITZ GARDEN

This summer, two iconic Amsterdam names — Bols and the Amstel Hotel — come together to create The Spritz Garden at the Amstel: a refined open-air destination celebrating the art of the Spritz.

Set along the Amstel River, the terrace transforms into a lush, elegant garden where timeless hospitality meets vibrant summer energy. Guests are invited to indulge in a curated Bols Spritz menu, designed to reflect both craftsmanship and seasonality.

From golden afternoons to long summer evenings, The Spritz Garden becomes a social ritual and a place where Amsterdam gathers to celebrate, connect, and savour the season. Every Thursday, we welcome a DJ to elevate your Spritz experience.

Reservations for parties of 8 or more are available via the link below. For smaller groups, we gladly welcome walk-ins.

WINE ROOM

Our Wine Room offers an intimate and elegant setting, ideal for private dining gatherings. It is distinguished by its opulent ambiance and is enveloped by an impressive collection of wines, creating a grand yet cozy atmosphere for a memorable dining experience.

Is reserving mandatory

Making a reservation in The Amstel Hotel and Bar are not mandatory, but we do advice you to reserve in advance to make sure you get a table.

Due to the success of the Afternoon Tea we ask you to reserve well in advance, so you are certain of a table.

Are pets allowed in the Restaurant and Bar?

Pets are not allowed at the hotel. Also not in our F&B outlets.
